Cody Ray Colley was born on March 9, 1997, in Rowlett. He is the son of Michael and Penny Tomlin Colley and died on September 18, 2011 in Dallas.
Colley was a freshman at Crandall High School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church who loved all aspects of sports, including Baseball, Golf, Basketball, and Wrestling and was a very avid Texas A&M Fan. He also enjoyed watching movies and playing video games.
He is preceded in death by a grandmother, Brenda Thomas;
and a grandfather, Brent Edward Colley.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Penny Colley of Heartland; sisters Courtney Colley and Cassie Colley of Heartland; grandparents Tom Tomlin of Dallas and Chiko Colley of Balch Springs; great-grandfather Kaji Nakama of Okinawa, Japan; aunts, Christi Mathis and her husband Matt of Seagoville, Wendy Tomlin of Dallas and Mary Colley of Garland, Jane Norman and her husband Paul of Combine, and Marilyn Dennis and her husband Allan of Terrell;
as well as numerous cousins and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Make-A-Wish Foundation of America; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Children's Medical Center Dallas - Child Life Department.
