FUNERAL OF MR. G.W. SEYMOUR

The funeral of Mr. George W. Seymour took place from the Broad Street M.E. church at 10 o'clock yesterday morning attended by a large number of the friends and acquaintances of the deceased gentleman. Creek Tribe No. 11. I.O.R.M. of which he was a member, attending in a body and _roudnetting the _niqui__ and ________ ceremonies of the order at the grave. The services at the church were conducted by the pastor. Rev. J.G. Harrison, and the interment took place in Riverdale cemetery the following gentleman being the pall bearers. Messrs. L Ra____, W.D.T. Gentry, D.L. Farmer, T.D. Roes, P.E. Davis and W.D. Tu______. Mr. Seymour is survived by two children: Mr. Robert E. Seymour and Miss Melvina Seymour, both of this city.

A VETERANS'S DEATH.

Mr. George W. Seymour Passes Away.

Mr. George W. Seymour, aged 68 years on June 25th last, died at his residence, No. 1722 Second avenue, at about 9 o'clock yesterday morning, after an illness of nine weeks.

He is survived by two children, Mr. Robert Seymour and Miss Melvina Seymour, both of this city. He was a member of Broad Street M.E. church and was also a Red Man, being a member of Creek Tribe. No. 11. I.O.R.M. He was an old Confederate veteran, having enlisted in Phillips' Legion and was later on transfered to Hampton's Legion.

The funeral will take place from Broad Street M.E. church at 10 o'clock this morning and will be conducted by Rev. J.G. Harrison. The internment will be at the Riverdale cemetery. The members of Creek Tribe will attend the funeral in a body.

He was the son of Hayden Lee Seymour Senior and Melvina Francis.

He married Permelia Ann Mathis on 11 June 1854 in Bibb County, Georgia.
