Mary Lengyel Matus of Frye Station, wife of the late Charles Matus, Sr. for fifty-nine years. Mother of ten children, seven boys: Charles, Jr., John, Pete, Andy, Mike and Joseph. A son Metro preceded her in death. Three girls: Mary Matus Kopp, Ann Matus Riley and Helen Matus Balog. Born in Austria, Hungary, she came to the U.S. in 1909, aboard the ship Martha Washington. She was a member and pillar in St. Mary's R.O. Church. Mary also had one brother, Simon (Sam) Lengyel of Richeyville, PA. L. M. Frye Funeral Home handled arrangements. Burial in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA

Note: 9/17/2012 Nine of the ten children are now deceased. Daughter Ann Matus Riley is the only survivor of this family.
