Frank Murphy, a lifelong resident of the Cutler community, died at his home in Cutler last Friday night following a long illness. The body was brought to the Leiter Funeral Home to be prepared for burial and the funeral services were held there Sunday afternoon at three o'clock with Rev. Moore, of Rossville, officiating. Burial was made in the Rossville cemetery. Benjamin Franklin Murphy, son of Alexander and Mary Ann Dunn Murphy, was born in Clay township on June 13, 1859, making him at death 86 years, 3 months and 18 days of age. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Hattie Hall. He is survived by five children, Vernon Murphy, of near Delphi; Ellsworth Murphy and Mrs. Dorothy Bohnow, of Chicago; Mrs. Josephine Tinkle, of Rossville, and Miss Maude Murphy, of Cutler. Two children had preceded him. He also leaves one grandson, Dwight Tinkle, of Lafayette; a sister, Miss Ella Murphy, of Los Angeles, Calif., and many friends. He had been a member of the Baptist church for many years.
