Lena Lorene Sain, age 81 of Harrison, formerly of Cowell, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Harrison.

The daughter of Edward Leroy and Frona Armintia (Freeman) Adams was born May 6, 1934 at Chancel (Hurricane Creek), Arkansas.

She was born and raised in Newton County. She and her husband, Earman moved to Colorado while he finished his military tour with the US Army. They lived in Illinois for the next 17 years, coming back to Newton County in 1967. She attended Christian Missionary Alliance for many years at Cowell, and Elmwood Baptist Church when they moved to Harrison. She and her husband opened their home to many missionaries over the years.

Lorene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved having her family around her. She was a people person, and loved working at the school cafeteria surrounded by all the kids. She loved the Bible and read hers regularly. She was very creative, enjoying sewing, crochet, embroidery and crafts. A friend to everyone, Lorene would lend her shoulder or ear to those who needed someone to talk to.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earman Sain, a sister, Gladys Sexton and a brother, Arvil Adams. Lorene is survived by her 3 daughters, Valerie Wheeler and husband Doyle of Ozone, Debbie Mapes and husband Rob, Lisa Scheuter and husband Mark, and son, Keith Sain, all of Harrison; 4 brothers, Burl Adams, Leroy Adams, Jr., Dale Adams and Larry Adams; 2 sisters, Hazel Smith and Kathy Rawlingson; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Alcantara and husband Bernie, David Wheeler, Rebecca Force and husband Brian, Cheryl Worthington and husband Benjamin, Nikki Collins and husband Lucas and Eric Sain; 1 great granddaughter, Adrianna Force, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Coffman Chapel in Jasper with Glendon Garrison officiating. Burial will follow at Cowell Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Leon Sexton, Darryl Sexton, Jeff Adams, Ronnie Faught, John Adams, Bryan Adams. Honorary pallbearers are all other nephews and grandsons.

Visitation is Friday from 5-7pm at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. If you prefer to make a donation in her memory, the family is requesting memorials to Hospice of the Hills or Legacy Hospice.
