Addison Slack (92)
Addison W. Slack of South Beach, Oregon died Jan. 26 of age-related causes. He was 92.
Son of Albert Henry Slack and Mary Belle (Aylesworth) Slack
A graduate of Triangle Lake High School, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
For most of his life, he farmed in Greenleaf. He enjoyed playing cards, reading, gardening and walking on the beach. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newport.
Survivors include his son, Larry, of South Beach;
Two stepdaughters, Emmalee Williams of Cottage Grove and Audrey Pickens of Waldport; a stepson, Darell Carder of Portland; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Agnes, died in 1990.
