Barteaux, Kenneth Jr. - 73, Welland, Ont., passed away peacefully March 6,2002. Born in Torbrook Mines, he was a son of the late Kenneth Sr. and
Nellie Barteaux. He moved to Welland in 1951, taking employment with Cyanimid for some 35 years, retiring in 1987 as a chemical operator. He was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 4, Welland. Surviving are his wife, the former Esther Strong; daughter, Julie (Ron) Cope; sons Ron (Linda), Bancroft; Leonard (Sarah), British Columbia; grandchildren,Dessaree Cope, Misty Watts (Aron Gauthier), Vicky Barteaux, Melanie Barteaux, Karen Barteaux (Mike Montgomery), Sherri Barteaux, Craig (Sabrina)
Barteaux, all of British Columbia; great-grandchildren, Seth, Keely, Cody,Mikayla and Logan; sisters, Donna Strong and Helen Hatt, Nova Scotia; sister-in-law, Kathleen Barteaux; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Robie and Haldane. A memorial service was held March 9, in Cudney Chapel, Welland, Ont. Donations to Welland Hospital Foundation.
