Torbrook Mines - Nellie Blanche Barteaux, 99, Torbrook Mines, died April 10,
1997, in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Nictaux, she was a daughter
of the late William and Georgina (Nauss) Crouse. She was a member of
Torbrook United Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Helen Hatt,
Meadowvale; Donna Strong, Niagara Falls, Ont.; son, Kenneth Jr., Welland,
Ont.; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth;
sons, Robie, Haldane. Funeral was held Saturday, April 12 in Torbrook United
Church, Rev. Joseph Manchester officiating, with burial in Torbrook Mines
United Cemetery. Donations may be made to Torbrook United Church or any
charity.
