Delbert H. Heather was born on May 9, 1919 in Rural Syracuse, Nebraska to Harry & Mollie (Walker) Heather. He passed away on February 14, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City, Nebraska at the age of 93 years, 9 months, and 5 days.

Delbert married Marie Halvorsen on February 8, 1941 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Delbert was a farmer by trade, but a cowboy at heart.

He is survived by daughter Lucy and husband Stuart Kitt, St. Louis, MO; daughter Jane Heather, Ft. Worth, TX; daughter Jody and husband Wally Pohlman, Nebraska City; son Wayne and wife Pat Heather, Waverly, NE; and daughter Sandy Heather and husband R.K. Piper, Omaha. Eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marie, two infant children, James and Wesley, and one son, Keith Heather, Sisters, Edna Parker and Thelma Barnes.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday February 18, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church in Syracuse. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday February 17th from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
