John Bishop, 92, of Salem died Saturday.

He was born in Kirksville, Mo., and moved to Salem in 1937. In 1938, he moved to Dundee. He was a carpenter, retiring in 1968. He moved to Salem 19 years ago. He enjoyed fishing and traveling and was a member of the Newberg Eagles. He attended Peoples Church in Salem. He married Lulu in 1931; she died in 1979.

Survivors include his wife, Lorena, whom he married in 1989; son, Richard of Newberg; daughters, Marlea Leffler of Warren and Adriene Millican of Dundee; sister, Onda Scott of Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services with vault interment will be at 11 a.m. today at Valley View Memorial Park in Newberg. Arrangements are by Attrell’s Newberg Funeral Chapel.
