Charles C. Miller, 87, of Dixie Road, died Friday morning.

Mr. Miller was retired from the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service (ASCS), where he also served as a committeeman.

He was of the Church of God tradition of faith.

The family said he loved woodworking, metal working, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife: Veldena Miller; a son and daughter-in-law: Donald Dean and Judy Miller, and a daughter and son-in-law: Darlene and Steve Freshour, all of Greeneville; three grandchildren and two special grandchildren-in-law: Joy and Freddie Myers, Chris and Angela Miller, and T.J. Freshour; two great-grandchildren: Chad Higginbotham and Jessie Myers; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Elwanda Bowers and Wilma and Wayland Huff; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a son of the late W.A. and Louise Darnell Miller and was preceded in death by three brothers: Alvin Miller, Carson Miller, and Lee Darnell.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Kiser Funeral Chapel with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Jim Fillers will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Miller, T.J. Freshour, Chad Higginbotham, Freddie Myers, Howard Bowers, Tommy Miller, Kay Huff, and Lyle Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harvey Solomon, Homer Huff, Carl Roser, Kenneth Marshall, Milton Parham, Pete Bowers, Berry Tarlton, the employees of Farm Service Agency, friends, and neighbors.
