Mrs. Adkins was born May 12, 1922, in Soldier, Ky., a daughter of Roscoe and Daisy Fannin Rayburn. She married James Stanley Adkins on Aug. 14, 1941, in Ashland, Ky. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara Jean Oliger of Dewey; a son, David Adkins of Loda; five sisters, Virginia Williams of Ashland, Ardieth Winget of Pratsville, Ark., Audrey Taylor of Morehead, Ky., JoAnn Kemper of Orlando, Fla., and Mary Jean McGuire of Fairfield, Ohio; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Mrs. Adkins graduated from high school in Ashland. She and her husband had lived in Clarence and Paxton since 1952, and she had worked at the post office in Clarence.
She attended the Baptist church in Ashland and the Church of God in Clarence. She also served on the election board while in Clarence. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
