Malvin Johnson, 76, of 2114 Legion Road, Clearfield, died in the Clearfield Hospital Saturday June 18, at 12:10 p.m.
He was born in Curry Run June 28, 1900, a son of Ezra and Flora (Young) Johnston. A bricklayer by occupation, he was a member of the Bells Landing Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnston i survived by his wife, the former Hattie Bell, and four children: Mrs. Warren (Jane) Hartman, Clearfield; Malvin Jr. of Indiana; Perston V. of Grampian R.D. and Mrs. Melvin (Mary Ann) Lingle of Clearfield. Nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
The following sisters and brothers survive: Mrs. George (Elva) Stagner of Mahaffey R.D.; Mrs. LaRue Johnston of Altoona; Enlo and Woodrow both of Curwensville R.D.; Mrs. Ruby Pennington of LaJose and Mirl of Big Run R.D., along with a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Services will be held from the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home in Curwensville Wednesday, June 22, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Bruce Dimmick will officiate and interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. today until the time of services.
