Clara Karlin, 71, Centennial Towers, died Saturday, Oct. 27 at Hadley Regional Medical Center. She was born April 3, 1913 at Catherine to Alois E. and Anna (Leikam) Karlin.

She was a nurse's aide for Menninger's Clinic and Stormont-Vail Hospital, both in Topeka, and at St. John Rest Home, Victoria, before moving to Hays in 1978. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Secular Franciscans.

Survivors include a sister, Cyrilla Karlin, Hays; and two brothers, Joseph Karlin and Celestine Karlin, both of Hays.

Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Albert Dwyer officiated; burial was in St. Severin Cemetery.
