Jo and Don moved to Long Beach in 1952, where Jo subsequently retired from AT&T and Don retired from Boeing. Jo is survived by son, Bary (Janice); granddaughters, Teri (Scott) Penniston and Tami (Taellor) Gore and great-grandchildren, Kyle and Hannah Penniston and Turner Gore. Jo is also survived by two sisters and many nieces and nephews. A private service was held on January 9, 2010. The family suggests contributions in Jo's memory to Alpenglow Hospice Foundation, 3200 E. 19th St., Signal Hill, CA 90755.
