1925 - 2013
Calvin Dale Brown passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday February 10, 2013. Born February 08, 1925, in Salt Lake City to Asa B and Mabel Wasp Brown. Cal married the love of his life Laura Lenore Heermance (Mike) on February 27, 1946. He proudly joined the Navy serving in WWII on the aircraft carrier USS Salamaua. After returning home from the Navy, Cal & Mike together opened and operated Cal Brown Body Shop for over sixty-five years. Cal enjoyed building and restoring old classic cars in his spare time.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, brothers William and Richard. Survived by his children
Jane Wilford (Andrew), Tom Brown ( Nancy), Ken Brown and his sister Virginia Price. Leaving behind 10 grandchild 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Larkin Mortuary (260 E. South Temple). The family will meet with friends on Wednesday, February 13th from 6 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The family wants to thank the staff at the VA Hospital for the services and attention given to their father over many years.
