Mrs. Evelyn I. Berry, 80, Washington, Rt 2, Box 377, Berry Road, died at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, at 8:06 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p,m. Sunday at Gill Chapel with the Rev Larry Stricker officiating. Interment will be in New Veale Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Veale Creek Church.
She was born Aug 1, 1912, in Daviess County to Frederick Lyle and Margaret Theresa Dayton Allison. She married Ralph Berry April 10, 1936 and he died Sept. 18, 1985. She was a graduate of Washington High School and was a member of Veale Creek Baptist Church where she was church organist.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Amy) Cottom, Washington, Mrs. Leonard (Joyce) Field, Royal Oak, MI, Mrs. Bill (Luann?) Hubbard, Spring, TX, four grand children, three step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren, two sisters and one borther, Mrs. Katherine Peachee and J. Dean Allison, both of Washington, and Mrs. Esther Roach, Richmond. One sister, Doris Jean, has died.
