Rockford-- Ora Lucille Carlson, 87, of Rockford, died at 6:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, in Alpine Fireside Health Center, after a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 11, 1908, near Chana, daughter of Ferdinand "Fred" and Estelle Babb Langholf. Lived in the Rockford area for 54 years. Married George R Zoeller in 1927; he died in 1960. Later married Stanley D Carlson in Rockford in 1968; he died in 1988. Employed as an assembly worker at George D Roper Corp. for 10 years and was a dealer for Stanley Home Products for six years. Later she was an LPN at Rockford Memorial Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1970. Member of Elim Baptist Church since 1950, where she taught Sunday school, member of Martha Circle and served as a deaconess. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting. Survivors include daughter, Linda (Ron) Price of Durand; stepdaughter, Janet (Bill) Anderson of Rockford; stepson, Stanley (Joyce) Carlson, Jr. of Rockford; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Wanda (George) Bishop of Dixon; two brothers, Frank Langholf of Oregon and Dever (Jacqueline) Langholf of New Mexico. Predeceased by her son, Frederic Zoeller, grandson, Andy Cesar, granddaughter (should be step), Debbie Carlson, two sisters, Ethel Miller and Irene Colehour, and three brothers, Fred, Dale and DeLos Langholf.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in Elim Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Forrest Williams, officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Fred C Olson Funeral Chapels, East Chapel, 1001 Second Ave. Memorial to Elim Baptist Church.
