Funeral services for Alpha Jones, 96, of Lubbock, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Parkway Drive Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the City of Slaton Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Alpha passed away Feb. 19, 2008.
She was born July 29, 1911 in Throckmorton County. She married Alton Jones on Feb. 10, 1934. He preceded her in death as well as a daughter, Pansy Brooks.
Survivors include her children, Clifford Jones and wife Nancy, Marilyn Gillit and husband Wayne, Alton Jones and wife Elsie, and Sunnye Landers and husband Richard; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home on Thursday from 7:30 until 9 p.m.
