OBITUARY: Mrs. Vera Webb, 61, Expires In Indianapolis

Mrs. Vera Love Grantham Webb, 61, of Indianapolis, a former resident of this city, died suddenly Saturday night in an Indianapolis hospital, relatives here have been notified. Although Mrs. Webb had been in ill health recently, her death was unexpected and came as a shock to relatives and friends. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Webb was born here December 28, 1901, the daughter of the late Harmon "Harve" and Roxie Love, and spent her early life here, moving form this county approximately 25 years ago. Survivors include the husband and four children, Mrs. Martha Jane Robbins, of Anderson; Mrs. Mary Jean Ball, of Indianapolis; Mack Grantham, of Fort Knox, Kentucky; and Maurice Grantham, of Tipton. Five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Eunice Moore, of Cincinnati, also survive along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by a young son, Allen Clay Grantham, two sisters, and one brother. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Shirley Brothers Funeral Home at 4565 East 10th street, Indianapolis, with the funeral party then coming to this city for brief graveside services and burial in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Shirley Brothers Mortuary, Indianapolis.

Mrs. Vera E. Webb, 61 years old, 4867 Southeastern Avenue, died yesterday in Community Hospital. Born in Seymour, she had lived in Indianapolis four years. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Seymour. Survivors include the husband, Clifford D. Webb; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Robbins of Anderson and Mrs. Jean Ball of Indianapolis; two sons, Mack C. Grantham of Fort Knox, Kentucky, and Murice L. Grantham of Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Eunice Moore of Cincinnati, and five grandchildren.
