OBITUARY: Seymour Native Dies, Rites Set
Mack C. Grantham, 45, of Anderson, a native of Seymour, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was a career soldier in the U.S. Army serving for 20 years and retiring in 1971. He attended the Christian Church at Fortville and was a member of Blue Union Lodge 7, Free and Accepted Masons at Junction City, Kansas, of Fortville Chapter 149, Order of Eastern Star, of Anderson Commandery 32, Knights Templar, of Alexandria Chapter 49, Royal Arch Masons and of George Hockett Post 127, American Legion. Born December 11, 1928, in Seymour, he was the son of the late Walter G. Grantham and the late Mrs. Vera Love Grantham Webb. He had been a resident of Anderson since 1929. Surviving are a stepmother, Mrs. Louise Grantham, of Anderson, a son and daughter, both of Ingalls; one brother, Maurice L. Grantham of Carmel; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Jane Robbins, of Anderson, and Mrs. Mary Jean Applegate, of Lexington Park, Maryland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Rozelle Funeral Home, Anderson, with graveside services at 3 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery here. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Rozelle Funeral Home where Masonic rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
