Louise Virginia Clem, 89, of Shenandoah, passed away February 9, 2013 in Charlottesville.

Louise was born February 21, 1923, in Page County, and was the daughter of the late Dewey and Maude Dovel Ferrell. She grew up in Shenandoah and attended Shenandoah High School. She worked in the Knitting Mill and Sleepware, as a seamstress, and had been active in the Ladies Auxillary of the Shenandoah Fire Department, and the Avis O. Comer V.F.W. Post #8613 in Shenandoah, for many years. She attended Christ United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Robert Lee "Bob" Clem, Sr., preceded her in death. She is survived by sons, Thomas Newton Clem and wife, Linda, of Stanardsville, Robert Lee Clem Jr., and wife, Robbie, of Toms Brook; grandchildren, Thomas N. Clem II and wife, Kimberly, Kristi L. Morris and husband, Wayne, David M. Clem and wife, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Brady T. Clem, Madison C. Harris, Jackson R. Clem, and one on the way; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ferrell, and a sister, Margaret McAllister.

Pastor Dan Bassett will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. Burial will follow in the Coverstone Cemetery in Shenandoah.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
