She was born Oct., 6, 1953, in Parsons, to William F and JoAnn K (Clifford) Chandler. She had attended St Patrick's High School before graduating from Parsons High School in 1971. After graduation, she was employed by the Parsons Clinic for 3 1/2 years, and SRS for 3 1/2 years, While employed at SRS she attended LCC, she was a member of the first class of X-Ray technicians to graduate in 1983.
While attending college, she also worked for Dr Antonio Diaz. After graduating, she was employed at the former Katy
Hospital in Parsons, and the Oswego Memorial Hospital. In 1988 she was employed as an X-Ray technician at LCMC. On April 15, she was assigned as an ultra-sound technician with Galacia Labs, a position she currently held. She and Rick Bussinger were married May 21, 1977 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Bussinger was member of St Mary's Catholic Church. She was an active member and treasurer of Xi Eta Iota sorority, of which she was past president and secretary. She was a member of the Parsons Catholic School Parent Teacher Organization and had served as it's president and vice-president. She helped coach the St Patrick's Little Sisters softball team. In earlier years, she enjoyed embroidery work.
Other survivors include: a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Alison Bussinger, both of the home, her parents, William and JoAnn Chandler of Parsons, six brothers, Charles Chandler, Francis Chandler, and Donal Chandler, all of Parsons, Joe Chandler of Moreno Valley, CA., John Chandler of St Peters, MO., and Tom Chandler of Clinton Park, NY., and three sisters, Marie Vickery and Rosie Duling of Wichita, and Rita Dunn of Muskogee, OK.
The service will be at 11:00 am at St Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev Leo Kerchen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm at the Burris Carson Wall Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends afterwards.
