OBITUARY: The Belleville Telescope, April 13, 1950

Anna Stella Klaumann, daughter of Frank and Barbara Kalivoda, was born August 1, 1893, near Cuba, Kan., and died April 6, 1950, at St. Joseph hospital, Concordia, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 5 days.

Anna received her education in Republic county, graduating from dressmaking school in Belleville. On January 6, 1915, she was united in marriage to Louis L. Klaumann, one son and one daughter being born to this union. They lived on a farm near Cuba until the death of her husband in May 1942, when she moved to Cuba.

She was devoted to her Catholic faith which brought her comfort and patience during her illness. She was a member of the St. Isidore's Alter society in which she participated as much as her health permitted.

Always thoughtful of her children and others, doing kind deeds for them that will long be remembered, she had a host of relatives and friends who will miss her kind word, cheerful smile and helping hand.

Her health was failing for many years and she had been cared for by her daughter. Mrs. Charles Heina and Mr. Heina, the past several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and mother. Survivors include her son, Wesley, Kearney; one daughter, LeEnora Heina, Cuba; her father, Frank Kalivoda, Cuba; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Baxa, Belleville, Mrs. Elizabeth Benyshek, Scandia; two brothers, William and George Kalivoda, Cuba; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, April 8, at 1:30 at the home and at 2 o'clock at St. Isidore's church in Cuba with the Rev. Alfred Wasinger officiating. Interment was made at St. Isidore's cemetery, Mass was offered Easter Sunday for Mrs. Klaumann.

You were never too busy
To stop and to share
Your loving attention
And warm tender care-
Now that you are gone
There isn't another
Who deserves richer blessings
Then you do, Dear Mother.
