James Malark, one of the oldest residents of the town, died at his home at 4 o'clock Tuesday morning following a decline in health which became distinctly noticeable after the death of his wife some 3 years ago. He was 95 years of age and practically his whole lifetime has been spent in this community. He is survived by two daughters, who reside respectively in Piercefield and Watertown, and seven sons, Patrick, Dennis, James, William, Daniel, Michael, and John. Funeral services were held in St. Edmund's Church at 10 o'clock on Thursday morning, Rev. O.A. Boyer officiating. Interment was made in the new cemetery.
