He was born in Ellenburg, April 15, 1883, a son of the late James and Josephine Ryan Malark. He operated a farm in Ellenburg and later in Burke after he went there to reside with his daughter about 8 years ago.
His wife, the former Clarissa Beach, died February 11, 1942.
Surviving besides Mrs. Griffith, are four sons; Dennis Jr. and James, both of Burke; David of Churubusco, and Michael of Albany; three other daughters, Mrs. Elmer Bassett of Tahawus, Miss Martha Malark of Tupper Lake, and Sister Mary Joseph of St. Joseph's Ursuline Academy; five brothers, Patrick, James, Michael, Daniel, and William, all of Ellenburg, and one sister, Catherine. There are also 25 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews surviving.
Dennis Malark Sr. died March 19, 1951. The body will be at the Cargill Funeral Parlor until time for the funeral tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Constable. The body will be placed in St. Francis vault to await a Spring burial in Constable.
