S/O Wade Thomas and Virginia Lee Lindsey was born a few miles north of Childress, TX and moved to Erick, OK with his parents when he was 7 years old. He lived there most of his childhood. He moved with his family to "no-man's land " Oklahoma in 1904. He met his bride, Lila Irene Kimble while going to school at Enterprise, south of Turpin , OK. They were married February 7, 1916 at the old Seward Co. Courthouse in Liberal. KS. For the first few years of their marriage they made their home with his parents seven miles southwest of Turpin, OK. From there they moved to Range , OK and then to a farm near Baker, Ok. In 1946 the couple and their family moved to 510 East Oak Liberal. KS. Mr. Gordon worked farms and ranches in various places in the Oklahoma Panhandle. After moving to Liberal he worked for Liberal Sales Co., until his retirement.
