Rita M. (Sonnhalter) Mospens, 89, of Eastlake, a homemaker, passed away Feb. 6, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Kirtland surrounded by her family.
Born March 13, 1923, in Cleveland, she had lived in Eastlake for the past 66 years.
She was a former volunteer at the Neighboring Project, and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family.
Survivors are her loving husband of 66 years, Paul S. Mospens; children, Joan Ashby, Tom Mospens, Margaret (Terry) Geffert, Susan (Kurt Nicaise) Mospens, Patti (Allan) Acheson, Paula (Jerome) O'Dowd and Michael (Chris) Mospens; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake. Private inurnment will be in Mentor Cemetery at a later date.
