Son of Jacob Keller 1775/1841 and Rosanna (Rosins) Doub 1786/1851. He was born and died on the home farm known as Resurvey of Rams Horn (now known as Pleasant Valley Farm). He married Mary Ellen Ward 1827/1881 on 19 Jan 1853 in Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., Virginia, by Rev. Thomas D. Bell. Thet had 5 children, but only 2 lived to adulthood.
