Breckinridge County News - 14 March 1928
Obituary - Mrs Malinda Beavin died suddenly at her home on the hill, at 1:00 Sunday morning. Had she lived until Friday, March 16, she would have reached her seventy-eight birthday anniversary. Altho she had not been well for several days, Mrs. Beavin was in town the day before her demise. The funeral was held at the residence Tuesday morning by the Rev. J.T. Neeson, pastor of the St. Rose Catholic Church, and the committal service in the Cloverport Cemetery, was in charge of Rev. Stuart Rite, pastor of the Baptist Chruch. Mrs. Beavin was the daughter of John and Rhoda Ahl, and married William Beavin, who died a number of years ago. The surviving children are: Mrs. William Taul, Evansville, IN; Charles Beavin, Evansville, IN; James Beavin, Evansville, IN; John Beavin, Cloverport; and Mrs. William Gedling (s/b Mrs. Joe Gedling), Addison; one brother, William Ahl, Louisville and one sister, Mrs. Martha Miller, Louisville.
Those attending the funeral: Mrs. Blackford, Meringo, KY, Forest and Fred Miller, Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. William Gedling, Cannelton, IN; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gedling, Katherine and Cal of Addison.
