FORMER SHELBY COUNTY CITIZEN BURIED TUESDAY
Shelbyville, Mo., Sept. 20—George W. Armentrout, 88, died at his home in Plains, Kas., Saturday. He was. buried here, Tuesday,
Mr. Armentrout was born at North Liberty, Ohio, March 27, 1841, and was married to Sarah Ellen Smith in 1868. With his wife he moved to Shelbyville a year later, where he lived until about fifteen years ago, when he moved to Plains, Kas., where he made his home until his death.
Seven children were born, all of whom are living except Willie Edward, who died in infancy. Those living are: Walter Smith and Frank Armentrout, and Mrs. Samuel Douglas, all of Plains, Kas.; Mrs. T. J. Douglas of Mullenvllle, Kas.; E. Clement Armentrout of Copeland, Kas., and Mrs. Lee Bethards of Ava ,Mo.
Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. M. A. West, pastor of the Methodist church here, were held In the Thompson funeral home, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
