He as active in the AMVETS Post, and also a member of the American Legion post, Polish American Citizens Club and St. Stanislaus Polish Club.
He leaves two sisters, Mary, with whom he lived, and Julia Smith of Michigan City, Ind.
The funeral was Saturday at Motyka & Son Funeral Home and in Sts. Peter and Paul Church with burial in St. Ann's Cemetery.
