Zora was the 12th of 14 children born to Alice (Holifield)and Henry Belcher, in Marion, Alabama. She was reared in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She united in marriage to Willie Allen on April 29,1935 and one daughter was born. They named her Norma Jean. After their marriage dissolved, she met and married Hannible Mason and moved to Chicago in July 1955. She joined Gammon United Methodist Church.
Zora was a delightful, loving and caring individual dedicated person. She gave and gave until the end. She loved her family and humanity. She will be missed immensely, for there was no one quite like Zora.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted granddaughter Vicki (Julius) Madison, son-in- law, Jeff Terry, three sisters, Muggie Collins, Helen Belcher and Clara Thompson all of Birmingham, Alabama, two great grandsons, one great granddaughter, two great great grandchildren, two step daughters, Hattie Mae Ferguson and Willie B Cummings of New York and other relatives and friends.
