RUSHVILLE — Wilbur A. Barnard, 80, of Rushville, passed away Feb. 2, 2013 at his residence.

He was born March 11, 1932 in Rush County, the son of the late Benjamin and Angeline VanNatta Barnard. He married the former Martha E. Kaster Sept. 25, 1955 and she preceded him in death Nov. 2, 2006.

Wilbur served honorably in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. He was retired from Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis and was a former UAW member.

Left to love his memory are his sons, Steve (Pam) Barnard and Jeff (Debi) Barnard, both of Rushville; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Joseph and Gayle; four sisters, Lillian Lower, Mable Lee, Madeline Woods and Agnes Swinford.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory, Rushville with Pastor Darryl Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday.
