William Henry Acker, 79, died Monday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sol Ehrhart, Newport, R. D., following an illness of several years. He was a native of Sugar Run, Perry County.
Surviving are three sons, George Acker, Charles Acker and William Acker, all of Newport, and four daughters, Mrs. Sol Ehrhart and Mrs. Silas Frownfelter, Newport, R. D.; Mrs. James Flickinger, Millerstown, and Mrs. Ella Mendenhall, of Indianapolis, Ind.
Services were conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p. m. at the David M. Myers funeral home. The Rev. L. Stoy Spangler, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Newport Cemetery.
