1931-2013

Fred L. Dalsing, 81, St. Joseph, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph. He was born in Coffeyville, Kan., on May 17, 1931, to Tony and Beulah (Shocky) Dalsing. He owned and operated Dalsing Antiques and Auction Company for many years with his late wife MaryEllen.

It was hard to get Fred away from his antiques but when he was able to get away, he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by four sons, Mike and Cheryl Dalsing, Steve and Sue Dalsing, both of St. Joseph, Vincent and Jodie Dalsing, of Urbandale, Iowa and Edwardand Tammy Dalsing, of York, S.C..; two daughters, Cheryl and Larry Angold, of St. Joseph and Chellen Scott, of Wichita Falls, Texas; one brother, Anthony and Kayla Dalsing, of Savannah, Mo.; four sisters, Hilda Sinker, of Harrisonville, Mo., Arlene Tripliett, of Wathena, Kan., Dottie Gerwick and Rosie Trull, both of Falls City Neb.; and 13 grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Alan and Timothy Dalsing; one brother, Robert Dalsing; and one sister, Georgia Portman.

Memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2013, at Gladden Stamey Funeral Home, in St. Joseph.
