Harry "Buck" Connelly was born November 19, 1891 in Iuka to Christopher Columbus and Lucy Smith Connelly. Two brother preceded him in death.
He married Ivy Johnson on September 13, 1914 in Marion. She survives as well as children, June Plater of Murphysboro and Bob of Honolulu.
Mr. Connelly, a retired mine electrician for Consolidation Coal Company, lived most of his life in Murphysboro. He died at Styrest Nursing home in Carbondale at the age of 84.
