Mrs Laura Ann Chapman Dickey, 92, of Searcy, mother of Bill Dickey of Little Rock, a former New York Yankee star who is considered one baseball's greatest catchers, died Wednesday. She was a Methodist. Other survivors include two other sons, Gus Dickey of Lake Conway and George Of Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Lewis of Tulsa and Mrs. Johnnie Frazer of Searcy; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Smith of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was today with arrangements by Daniel Funeral Home.
