Ebenezer Baldwin was born Oct 24, 1734 to Daniel Baldwin and Hannah Partridge in Norwich, New London County, Connecticut.

He married Ruth Swift (daughter of John Swift and Jerusha Clark) on Nov 12, 1761. They owned a farm just outside of Mansfield, Connecticut in an area known as Mount Hope.

Ebenezer and Ruth had a total of eleven children.

Four of Thomas and Seviah Baldwin's children are buried in the Atwoodville Cemetery next to Ebenezer and Ruth Baldwin. Hezekiah, Monroe, Amasa and Seviah. Those are the only six Baldwin's buried in the Atwoodville Cemetery. All six headstones are located just behind the flowering dogwood in the photo.
