"The funeral service for George W. Keefer, former teacher in Bullskin and Saltlick townships, who died yesterday morning at his home between White and Clinton, Saltlick township, will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock at Stouffer Church, with Rev. William Knopsnyder of the Church of the Brethren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Keefer would have been 59 years old on May 4. He was born in Saltlick Township, a son of Abraham and the late Annie Miller Keefer. He grew up on the farm and at an early date engaged in teaching, first At Bear Rock School, in Bullskin township, where he remained for many years. Later he followed the profession in Saltlick Township, where he had purchased a farm. He retired two years ago because of decline in health and was a beneficiary of the State Teachers Retirement Fund. He had spent 36 years in the schoolroom in two Townships.

Mr. Keefer was married twice. His first wife was Miss Eva Stouffer of Paradise, Bullskin Township. Two children were born to this union. One, Samuel Keefer of Melcroft, surviving.

His second wife was Miss Lena Freiburg of Clinton. Children of this union surviving are: Mrs. Albert Richer of Clinton, Mrs. Emory Laymon and Earl of Indian Head. Miss Myrtle of Connellsville and Emory, Marie, Florence, Violet, Blanche and Goldie at home. His wife, his father, who is 85 years old and lives in Wooddale, and the following brothers and sisters are also living; Benjamin Keefer of Indian Head, Mrs. Samuel Coffman of White, Mrs. Minerva Mull of Mount Pleasant, Daniel of Kingsview, Jacob M. of Wooddale, principal of the West Leisenring schools, Grant of near Iron Bridge. Mrs. John Grim of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. William Coffman of Freed, Harry of Wooddale, Lloyd of Ronco. Mrs. Omar Miller of Freed and Mrs. Harry Craig of Acme. There are two dead.
