Mr. Cain was born July 21, 1897, son of Roy and Belle Meeker Cain, in Denver, Iowa.
He married Mae Gaffney on October 21, 1925, in Independence. He was employed by Rath Packing Company for 20 years, and retired in 1962.
Mr. Cain is survived by his wife, Mae; two sons, [living] and Eugene, 1905 Howard Ave.; two daughters; and one sister, Mrs. Jack Davis of Independence.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the Calvary United Methodist Church in Mr. Cain's name. Friends may call at the Chapel of Memories West Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Thursday.
