Sidney G. Dashnau, 82, a former resident of 57 Hamilton Homes and later a resident of the Hillcrest Nursing Home died early this morning. He was the husband of the late Claire Utter Dashnau. His first wife, the former Katheryn Schwalm, died in 1961. He was born in Oswego, son of the late Joseph and Adelaide Dashnau. He was a carpenter by trade and had been employed by several local contractors. He was a member of the Carpenters' Local Union 747 in Oswego and a member of the Senior Citizens and St. Peter's Catholic Church. He is survived by two sons, Sidney of Oswego, and Francis J. of Scriba, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Marie Lytle of Oswego, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, Funeral will be at the Dain Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m.Thursday and at St. Peter's Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednsday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
