Mrs. Dickinson, Wife Of Bus Operator, Dies

Mrs. Ethel H. Dickinson, 60, of Owego died yesterday afternoon in Ideal Hospital, Endicott. She was
stricken while shopping in Washington Avenue, Endicott. The wife of Leonard D. Dickinson, operator of the L. D. Dickinson Motor Coach Lines, s he was born Oct. 11, 1894, in Ohio, the daughter of David and Margaret Whalen Hape.
She had lived in Owego for many years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Union Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Laurence D. of Owego and Clarence of Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter Mrs. Lucille Denson of Moravia; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Halstead of Owego, and several grandchildren.
The body was moved to the Estey & Munroe Funeral Home and will be taken this afternoon to the family home, 138 Main Street.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Dickinson home, with the Rev. Edgar Frank, pastor of the First Presbyterian Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery.
Leonard Deforest and Ethel Ivana (Hape) Dickinson's children were:
1. Leonard Deforest Dickinson, Jr.
2. Martaret Lucille Dickinson (m. Robert Merton Denson)
3. Laurence Deforest Dickinson (m. Margaret Jane Espey)
4. Clarence Benjamin Dickinson (m. Rits Wesler and Jacqueline Quinn)
NOTE:
Baby Boy Dickinson (#104877702) died March 7, 1954 was probably their son.
