The last rites were held Tuesday afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio for Mrs. P. B. Hill, 83, who died at her home near Hunt last Thursday morning. Dr. George Mauze, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Jess Moody, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Owensburg, Ky., officiated. Interment was in the Mission Burial Park, under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

A native of Eight Oaks, Va., she was the former Ella Thraves, and was married to Dr. Hill at the Mattoax Church near Amelia, Va., in 1905, and in 1911 the family went as missionaries to Korea. Her health had begun to fail for lack of medical and dental care and they returned to the States four years later. They lived in Louisville, Ky., until Dr. Hill accepted the pastorate of the Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. They lived there until his retirement, then moved to their home, "Jehovah Jirch" on Honey Creek, above Hunt.

The family left Kerr County last autumn on account of Mrs. Hill's health and moved to San Antonio to be near their daughter. Dr. Hill died in January, and since that time she had been with her daughter, until coming to Hunt a short time ago.

Survivors are four children: Sam B. Hill, David L. Hill and Mrs. Raymond Armstrong, all of San Antonio; and John P. Hill of Ingram; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two sister and a brother--all of Virginia

Active pallbearers were Clarence Leinweber, Gilmer Morriss, Charles Young and Jim Prior of this area; Thomas Morriss of Sonora and Will A. Morriss Jr., Dr. Harry Johnson and Dr. W. W. Bondurant of San Antonio.

Her Parents were John Thomas Thraves and Martha C. Barden Thraves.
