Mary Frances Shuler Bull, 82, of Front Royal, Virginia, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, in the Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by The Rev. Larry Andrews.
Mrs. Bull was born September 11, 1930 in Page County, Virginia, daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Lena May Gochenour Shuler.
She was a retired registered nurse with Warren Memorial Hospital where she was the Assistant Charge Nurse in obstetrics.
Mrs. Bull was the first President of the Front Royal Gideons Auxiliary when it was established. She enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter and was an avid visitor of flea markets.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Nevin L. Bull; three sons, Nevin L. Bull, Jr. of Rockland and his wife Debbie Vaught Bull, Donald Bull of New Market and his wife Lisa Cox Bull, and Matthew Scott Bull of Manassas; two daughters, Cinda Lou Bull of Fredericksburg and Wanda Sue Bull Praske and her husband Robert of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Annabelle Harner of Elkton and Helen Freeman of New Market; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
With her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Owen Shuler, Robert Clinton Shuler, and Elmer Lee Shuler, Jr.; and three sisters Florine Virginia Shuler Kibler, Ollie Louise Shuler Painter, and Marguerite Elizabeth Shuler Burner.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
