The 1910 Federal Census for Mangan, Oklahoma (now Chattanooga)(Comanche County)/ shows John L. Russell, a farmer, age 59, born in Arkansas; and his wife, Theodosia, age 47, born in Texas. The census shows that John and Theodosia had been married 33 years and had given birth to 9 children, of which 8 were still living. Living in the household were three children: James D. Russell, age 16, born in Texas; Nels Russell, age 13, born in Texas; and Velma Russell, age 6, born in Oklahoma.
Theodosia died March 1, 1940 in Denison, Texas (Grayson County) and was buried in Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County). John died in Clarita, Oklahoma (Coal County) in 1915. His burial place is yet unknown.
