Lucille C. Russell, 84, of the Asheville Highway, died Tuesday at Greeneville West Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and the widow of Johnie Russell.

She retired from the former Greene Manufacturing Co.

Mrs. Russell was a member of Peoples Tabernacle Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Ruth and Fred Carter of Knoxville and Barbara and Roy Hood of Asheville, N.C.; her grandchildren and special grandchildren-in-law: Dean and Nancy Carter of Huntsville, Ala., Bryan and Wendie Carter of Knoxville, Lana and Kevin Bailey of Fletcher, N.C., Russell and Franca Hood of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Kimberly and Sean Smith of Hendersonville, N.C.; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Retice Cutshall and Zelma Morrison, both of Greeneville; a brother: Ivan Cutshall of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a daughter of the late Jess and Lula Johnson Cutshall and was preceded in death by an infant son; and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning in the funeral home chapel with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. James Bowers will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Casteel, Fay Lynn Ricker, Floyd Hood, the Rev. Billy Lee Cutshall, Doyle Morrison, and Lyle Smith

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ben Keebler, and the nurses and staff of Greeneville West.
