Rachel was born February 1, 1724/5, in Windsor, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Samuel Marshall and Abigail Phelps. She married Titus Brown, who was also from Windsor, probably in Windsor. It is known that Titus moved to Norfolk around 1744, and that Titus & Rachel had their first child in 1753, so it is possable that they were married in Norfolk, around 1750. Titus and Rachell had six known children, all born in Norfolk. Titus died in February, 1802 and Rachel was buried in Norfolk on October 27, 1814. A marker has yet to be located, but she is surely buried in the Center Cemetery in Norfolk, near her husband.
