Michael Augustine Wesner, Sr., age 91, formerly of Mt. Lebanon and Scott Twp., suddenly on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, while living with his daughter Patricia and her husband Thomas Gill in Fayetteville PA. Beloved husband for 57 years to the late Elizabeth Ann Boyle "Betty" former school nurse for the Chartiers Valley School Dist. - both born in Johnstown PA. Michael Sr. was retired Executive Director of the Catholic Cemeteries Association for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, he along with the late Msgr. Daniel Gearing, formed the CCA in 1953, developed the Association into 16 cemeteries throughout the Diocese until his retirement in 1984. His proudest achievement was the purchase, approval, design and development of Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Peters Township where he will be buried on Saturday, December 6th. Michael was a 1942 graduate of St. Vincent College, Latrobe. He is the loving father of Mary "Lollie" Streiff of Salisbury N.C., Patricia (Thomas) Gill of Fayetteville PA, Eric "Rick" (Diane) of Tampa FL, and Michael Jr. (Carol) of Orange County, CA; Grandfather of 10 and Great-grandfather of 16. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, Peters Twp., (724-941-3211), on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church. Interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
