Harry Cleveland Freeman, 89, of Greenfield, Queens County, died Friday, at
home.

Born in Greenfield, he was a son of the late Charles C. and Dorinda (Wile)
Freeman.

He was a retired lumberman and founder and president of Harry Freeman and Son
Lumber Company Limited. He served as municipal councillor for 25 years. A
veteran of the Second World War, he served three years with the Canadian Army.

He is survived by his wife, the former Leda Wile; two daughters, Roxie and
Alean (Mrs. Lincoln Freeman), both of Greenfield; two sons, Harry Jr.,
Dartmouth; and Walter, Greenfield; a sister, Hilda Freeman, Greenfield; 10
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Walter and a sister, Nettie.

The body is in Chandlers' Funeral home, Liverpool. Funeral will be 3 p.m.
Sunday in Greenfield Baptist Church, Rev. David Roy officiating, assisted by
Lic. Lawson Aulenback, with burial in Pinerest Cemetery, Greenfield.

Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Greenfield Recreational Fund.
